DAX cracks the 16,000 mark

The Dax currently seems unstoppable. One high after the other is cracked. The German benchmark index has already gained 17 percent this year. But how long can this price rally continue?

The Dax reached a record level on Friday, breaking the round mark of 16,000 points. It is already the third thousand-point threshold that the Dax has passed this year: Since the beginning of the year, the German leading index has already risen by almost 17 percent from 13,719 points, a similar increase to the US leading index, the Dow Jones.

But the spread of the delta variant, renewed lockdown fears and rising inflation could unsettle investors in the weeks and months ahead.
