The DAX continues its strong rise. The psychologically important mark of 14,000 points is currently being targeted.
The German benchmark index rose on Thursday by up to 0.7% to a new all-time high of 13,984 points. The markets are being boosted to a large extent by the hope of a quick US economic stimulus package.
The lack of investments and risk appetite remained high despite all the remaining uncertainties caused by the pandemic. A surprising increase in German industrial orders also brightened the mood. In the course of the day, investors are waiting for further stimulus from economic data, including the weekly US initial jobless claims.
