Deutsche Post was again able to increase its forecasts for 2021 and 2023.
Deutsche Post AG, headquartered in Bonn, is a listed logistics and postal company that emerged from the former Deutsche Bundespost authority in 1995. The Group has been operating under the name “Deutsche Post DHL Group” since 2015, previously as “Deutsche Post DHL” since 2009, and “Deutsche Post World Net” before that.
Deutsche Post has raised its forecasts several times in recent months and today is no exception. Deutsche Post now sees EBIT, or operating earnings before interest and taxes, above €7.7 billion (instead of above €7.0 billion) in 2021.
For 2023, the DAX-listed group now has its sights set on EBIT of over €8.0 billion (instead of over €7.4 billion). The Group sees free cash flow in excess of EUR 3.6 billion (instead of over EUR 3.2 billion) in 2021. The company expects the cumulative free cash flow in the period 2021-2023 to be around EUR 10.0 billion instead of EUR 9 billion. According to the final figures, Deutsche Post achieved an EBIT of 1.771 billion euros in the third quarter, above the preliminary 1.765 (previous year: 1.377) billion euros. After taxes and third parties, a profit of EUR 1.087 (0.851) billion or EUR 0.88 per share remained. Sales increased to 20.036 from 16.222 billion euros.
Deutsche Post AG shares are currently trading up 3.39 percent.
