On the other hand, Roblox’s loss per share of $0.46 is much higher than the expected $0.21. However, the costs of the IPO and the focus on rapid growth mean that profitability is not yet a priority.
Also exciting is the 79 percent increase in daily active users to 42 million. Players spent just under twice as much time in the Roblox game and spent more of the purchasable in-game currency Robux there. As a result, average revenue per player also increased 46 percent to $15.48 – an important metric since much of the content is free-to-play.
