The German stock index was able to recover further today. The DAX exited trading with a gain of 1.40 percent at 15,463 points, just below its high for the day reached shortly before. It thus climbed to its highest level since the end of September and was additionally supported by strong US stock markets in the afternoon.
On the one hand, these were boosted by a series of encouraging quarterly reports from US companies. Second, weekly initial jobless claims not only fell surprisingly sharply, but also fell below 300,000 for the first time in the Corona crisis.
The winners today were SAP and HelloFresh.
